A free screening of Brad Bischoff’s award-winning debut feature film, Grasshoppers, And Miguel Silveira’s Award-winning short film Rooftop wars, as part of a 2-day event promoting the NonDē (non-dependent) filmmaking movement pioneered by legendary producer, Ted Hope. The term represents a new wave of independent filmmaking that is not reliant on global streaming platforms, but instead anchored in promoting live, local gatherings in arthouse theaters.

GRasshoppers (Feature Film) Star-crossed immigrant lovers roam their gated community drink-by-drink in search of the perfect house. With each new visit, a new drink is poured and startling revelations about their relationship come to light.
Rooftop Wars (Short FIlm) A group of children steals away from their neighborhood street parade to wage a children's war on a rooftop.

AMERICAN THIEF: A teenage hacker, a young activist, a conspiracy vlogger and a programmer become pawns in a plot to derail the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
MOm and Dad Live in different Houses: A heartfelt, modern portrait of co-parenting told through wistful home movies, both real and imagined, of a daughter moving between her divorced parents' houses one afternoon.
American Thief will be preceded by Brad Bischoff’s latest award-winning short film, Mom and Dad Live in Different Houses. The directors of both films and co-writer/co-producer of American Thief will be in attendance for a short post screening Q&A.
